Jollibee Group cited in forbess’ list of world’s best employer

MANILA, Philippines. October 15, 2021. –The Jollibee Group has once again brought the Philippines onto the global stage by being cited in the Forbes’ List of World’s Best Employers for 2021. This is the second consecutive year that the Jollibee Group has been recognized in this global listing. It is the highest-ranked company among only three Philippine-based organizations that are included.

“We are honored to receive this global recognition as a world-class employer, which reflects our culture and our commitment to giving value and taking good care of our people,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, Jollibee Group President and CEO.

“We have a dedicated People Agenda in our business strategy, characterized by a people-focused culture, capable leaders, and highly engaged teams. We are grateful that despite challenging external factors, our people have remained engaged with our mission of serving great-tasting food, bringing the joy of eating to everyone,” Tanmantiong added.

The company’s commitment to its mission has fueled its growth from two small ice cream parlors into one of the world’s fastest-growing restaurant companies. It now operates over 5,800 stores in 34 countries through its 17 brands, including Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Burger King in PH, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Smashburger in the US, Yonghe King in China, and Michelin-starred Tim Ho Wan, among others.

In previous years, the Jollibee Group has also received global citations—named the Philippines’ most admired company by the Asian Wall Street Journal for ten years and honored as one of Asia’s Fab 50 Companies by Forbes Asia Magazine. The Jollibee Group is also the first-ever Philippine-based company to be recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) in 2020.

Forbes partnered with Statista to survey 150,000 professionals from 58 countries. Respondents were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. They were also asked to rate different companies on image, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality, and social responsibility. The 750 companies that received the highest total scores made the final list
